Frazier School District, Connellsville CTC Awarded PAsmart Grants, Warner Says

HARRISBURG — Working to ensure students are prepared for the jobs of today and tomorrow, Rep. Ryan Warner (R-Fayette/Westmoreland) announced today Frazier School District and Connellsville Area Career and Technical Center have each been awarded $35,000 through the state’s PAsmart Targeted Grant program.
The initiative is designed to expand high-quality computer science and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education in schools across the Commonwealth, as well as professional development for teachers.
“This is a great investment in the educational and economic success of our students, ensuring they have the skills they need to graduate and work in fulfilling careers,” Warner said. “I applaud our local schools for the great opportunities they are giving our students.”
The schools were two of 163 school districts, charter schools and intermediate units statewide awarded a total of $5.7 million.
