Warner, Dowling Applaud Fayette County Commissioners’ Actions on Reopening
May 7, 2020
HARRISBURG – Reps. Ryan Warner (R-Fayette/Westmoreland) and Matt Dowling (R-Fayette/Somerset) issued the following statement in support of the Fayette County Commissioners and their decision to join a lawsuit against the Wolf administration.
“Fayette County and its citizens deserve the opportunity to reopen our economy safely. Last week, we were robbed of that chance when the governor again moved the goal posts about what counties must achieve in order to move from the red to yellow stage of his phased reopening plan. It was a punch in the gut to our hard-working citizens who want to go back to work, earn a paycheck and provide for their families
“We strongly support the Fayette County Commissioners and their decision to pursue legal action against the Wolf administration and its actions that are having a devastating impact on our small businesses, workers and families. We applaud the commissioners’ leadership and stand with them 100% as we fight for the hard-working people of Fayette County.”
