HARRISBURG – Rep. Ryan Warner (R-Fayette/Westmoreland) is encouraging eligible residents who are looking to get a COVID-19 vaccination to register for an upcoming clinic being held by Walmart.
The clinic will be held Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, Feb. 24, 25 and 27, at the Connellsville Area Senior Center at 100 E. Fayette St., Connellsville. Appointments are available only to those in Phase 1A of the state’s vaccination plan. That includes people over age 65, as well as people with certain medical conditions that make them more susceptible to complications from COVID-19. Detailed guidelines about eligibility are available at
health.pa.gov. To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-753-8827.
“My office is constantly hearing from people who want to get vaccinated but simply cannot find available appointments anywhere,” Warner said. “I am grateful to Walmart for giving our area residents a convenient opportunity to obtain their vaccines and was happy to work with them and the Connellsville Area Senior Center to put this clinic together.”
Insurance is not required, and there is no cost to receive the vaccine. Appointments for the second vaccination will be made while at the first appointment. The Pfizer vaccine is being administered to patients at the clinic.
According to Walmart officials, additional clinics will be held in the area as supply becomes available.
