HARRISBURG – Rep. Ryan Warner (R-Fayette) is encouraging area senior citizens to take advantage of an opportunity to revamp their driving skills and earn a discount on their auto insurance.
Seniors over age 55 are invited to participate in one of two Seniors for Safe Driving events Warner is hosting. Residents need only participate in one session, not both. The event info is as follows:

Perryopolis: Friday, May 12, from 1-5 p.m. at the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department,
206 Liberty St.
•
Connellsville: Friday, May 19, from 1-5 p.m. at the Connellsville Senior Center,
100 E. Fayette St.
During the seminar, a safe driving instructor will discuss communicating with drivers, risk management, airbags, sharing the road, road signs, signals, pavement markings and more. All seniors 55 and older who attend the seminar will receive a certificate for a minimum of 5% off their auto insurance for three years.
