PERRYOPOLIS – Rep. Ryan Warner (R-Fayette) is inviting area residents to a CarFit check for mature drivers to help ensure their safety and the safety of others on the road.
The event is being held Friday, Oct. 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 206 Liberty St., Perryopolis. Warner is partnering with PennDOT, the Highway Safety Network and AAA to offer this service.
“It’s so important to do all we can to stay safe behind the wheel,” Warner said. “I encourage area drivers to come out and learn about some helpful tips that can really help improve their safety and comfort level behind the wheel.”
Experts will lead participants through a 12-point CarFit checklist covering issues such as proper seat, mirror and head restraint adjustments, as well as proper seatbelt use.
