Warner Votes ‘No’ on Costly State Budget
July 14, 2025
HARRISBURG – Rep. Ryan Warner (R-Fayette) issued this statement after voting against a $50.6 billion state budget proposal for the 2025-26 fiscal year:
“It’s been FIVE months since the governor outlined his budget proposal for the 2025-26 fiscal year and FOUR months since budget hearings concluded. Rather than use that time to negotiate and work together toward a reasonable, responsible budget, majority House Democrats abruptly called for a vote on a spending plan that’s still too costly and sets our taxpayers up for a tax hike in the very near future.
“Quite honestly, it’s insulting to the people of this Commonwealth to put forth a budget with virtually no opportunity for them to review it and offer feedback. Where is the transparency?
“This isn’t the way to govern.”
