No Room for Error on Election Day, Warner Says
November 5, 2025
HARRISBURG – Rep. Ryan Warner (R-Fayette) issued this statement regarding problems that occurred at polling places across Fayette County during yesterday’s election:
“The people of Fayette County take seriously their civic duty and their sacred right to make their voices heard in our elections. That any of them showed up to vote yesterday only to be told the ‘electronic pollbook’ told them they couldn’t is inexcusable and further erodes the already tenuous public trust in our elections.
“This is a major mishap for the Shapiro administration and the Department of State. The governor and Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt have one job when it comes to elections – making sure every person’s vote is accurately counted. They failed the people of Fayette County by sending old data that led to voters being turned away at the polls. For Secretary Schmidt to shrug this off and call it a ‘minor’ issue is disgraceful to the people of Fayette County.
“I am calling for a prompt investigation into this failure of the Department of State and will be working with other lawmakers to ensure accountability and that voters will not be disenfranchised again.”
