Grimm Krupa, Warner: More than $658,000 in Grants Awarded to Fire, Ambulance Companies in Fayette County

February 13, 2026

HARRISBURG – Reps. Ryan Warner (R-Fayette) and Charity Grimm Krupa (R-Fayette) today announced that fire and ambulance companies in the county will collectively receive $658,451 in state grants to support their public safety mission.

“Our first responders are the backbone of community safety,” Grimm Krupa said. “This investment ensures EMTs, paramedics and firefighters have the resources to stay prepared. When they succeed, all of Fayette County benefits.”

“Our communities are so blessed by the outstanding fire and emergency services personnel who selflessly serve our region, protecting lives and property,” Warner said. “These grants not only show our appreciation but also aim to relieve some of the financial challenges facing these organizations.”

The funding comes from an ongoing grant program created by the Legislature and administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC). All funding comes from the proceeds from slot machine gaming, and not General Fund tax revenue.

Grants may be used toward construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, purchase or repair of equipment, training, recruitment and retention, or debt. In order to receive their funding, each organization must file a grant agreement with OSFC.
